Dan Michaelson is a London based musician and creative instrumentalist. Acclaimed for his unique take on sparse beauty and emotional weight, (“Michaelson is a master of bleak atmosphere” Q Magazine) his epic minimalismspans film, television and recorded album projects.

As a composer for film and television, some of his recent credits include the 3 BAFTA Award winning series of Detectorists (Mackenzie Crook/Toby Jones) and a featured track on the Emmy Primetime Award winning show Shameless (William. H. Macey/ Emmy Rossum). Dan has created scores for the British Film Institute sponsored feature Side By Side (Co written with Lorne Balfe), the feature documentary Blowin’Up (Official selection, Tribeca Film Festival 2018) as well as an ever growing collection of high profile fashion films.

As a singer and songwriter, Dan has produced a collection of highly praised dark, acoustic and orchestral albums:
